Day 1:
I arrived in Beijing after a long flight and almost no sleep. A huge group of us arrived one after another, performers brought in from all over the world and we were taken to our hotel on a big bus. I spent the evening chilling in the hotel room.
Day 2:
We had the morning off so it was time for some sightseeing. We headed to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City! It was amazing and bigger than you could ever imagine! The Forbidden City just kept going and going and going. We walked all the way through and then up the long stairs to the Jingshan Park where I dressed up as an Empress which was fun! The acrobat boys from PopEyed dressed up as Emperors and did some acrobatic moves for the cameras too!

In the afternoon we headed to the venue to check out the stage and have a quick rehearsal. The event was to be held at the 798 art district in Beijing inside a massive old water tank.
Day 3:
In the morning we headed to the markets and had a look around before we headed to the venue for a technical rehearsal and press call. We performed our show for the constant stream of press who came to photograph and film the performers before the big event the following evening.
That night a group of the Australian performers and I had a yummy dinner at a restaurant around the corner from the hotel and ended the night with some bowling! It was lots of fun and I even scored a few strikes!!
Day 4:
Today we went to the Great Wall of China! We were all so excited and it was so amazing! We caught the chair lift up the wall and the toboggan ride down the wall to try and preserve some energy in our legs before the show that night. The toboggan ride was soooo fun!! We went faster than we were probably allowed to but it was awesome. The Great Wall looks steep but it's way steeper than you think it is! I had jelly legs!! It truly was amazing to see.

The Mont Blanc Metamorphosis event was such an amazing event. As guests arrived they walked the red carpet then were ushered in to the Typhoon room where they were entertained by models body painted black with fluro patterns and fluro butterflies which lit up under the special black light, aerialists, pole performers and contemporary dancers dressed in hooded black and white unitards surrounded by mirrors. When the doors finally opened the guests including Nicolas Cage entered the main room where the walls inside the huge water tank were lined with 3D projected graphics which were absolutely incredible, a bar which ran around the entire edge of the wall and various performances by aerialists, acrobats, dancers, the Blue Man Group who were fantastic and myself performing contortion! There were thousands of people there and we partied long in to the night drinking Moet and cocktails!

Day 5:
Super early wake up this morning to catch my flights back to Sydney. It was a struggle but some good movies on the plane always make long flights feel much faster. I arrived home early Monday morning after a whole day and night of travel and crashed in to bed for the whole day! I was exhausted but my China experience was unbelievable!!
