Maybe you were thinking Performa - Apple's line of Macintosh that had AtEase preinstalled.
Good Call! You are right. I remember AtEase being used on my Performa 6400.

Every time I read these threads I'm reminded why I don't have an iphone. Yeah, I have many other Apple devices, including a 3G iPad, but no iphone. I refuse to be a slave to the man. I wish subsidized devices didn't exist in this country. It reduces competition by locking people into contracts and ultimately holds technology back. Yeah, more people can own the "coolest" phone, but IMHO the ends don't justify the means.
You wish everyone had to pay $700 upfront for a smartphone?
That doesn't make much sense.. Your whole position doesn't make much sense.
Making products more accessible to more people and more affordable reduces competition and holds technology back? Again your post makes no sense.

Bloomberg reports (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-03-14/microsoft-said-to-stop-releasing-new-zune-models-as-demand-ebbs.html) that Microsoft is canceling future development of its line of Zune hardware devices...
No, I'm pretty sure Apple canceled the Zune. :D

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but this is most likely for cameras that either have GPS integrated already (and some do) or for cameras like the Nikon D200 or D2X that have a port on the side specifically for hooking up a GPS device like this one:
http://www.redhensystems.com/products/video_collection_hardware/d2x-gps.asp
Since the EXIF standard contains a flag for GPS-data, they just didn't finish the feature yet. They will.
So no, the iPhone isn't going to be a gps camera pda music playing satellite radio streaming HDTV. Get over it. The iPhone already came out, and flopped (how many ROKRs do you see?) My guess is that if Apple really wants to move into that space, they're going to have to serriously look at their market, and their network partner.
Though Cingular has more users, Verizon and Sprint both have the high-speed data networks capable of integrating a phone with iTunes. Cingular simply doesn't. Verizon users spend, on average, more on downloads than any other non-MVNO provider.
Oh, and as for GPS already being in phones, it's there. Every phone sold after 01/01/04 had to have a GPS tracking device installed for use in Emergency situations. Providers were given six years to get a 95% adoption rate. Ever notice that little crosshair in the top? That means you've got a GPS lock. With SiRF-III GPS chips, you can be pretty well underground and still get a signal, esp. when it's repeated by your cell towers.
This isn't an iPhone clue. Get over yourselves.

Did you ever play "balderdash"? My favorite thing to do in school was to make up my own current events. They would be just weird enough to be interesting, but still plausible. Try it, it's fun. And if the teacher calls bs, just be like "I guess I just like to read outside of the mainstream media"...If that doens't work blame it on ThinkSecret or something.

Considering it is the Dock and not The Dock, why does the title include 'the' in the first place?
Well, it doesn't any more. Who knows why it did before.

I am new here so if this is the wrong spot feel free to let me know.
First, I want to let you know me as a mac user.
Desktop: I have a 24 inch iMac (the first version to have 3.0) that I operate with apple's wireless keyboard, and the magic trackpad (I have a magic mouse also)
Laptop: I have a 15inch brand spanking new Sandy Bridge/Thunderbold MacBookPro. I got it the day it came out in February and I couldn't be happier with it.
Mobile: I have a 16GB Black iPhone 4. I also have a 32GB Wi-FI only Black iPad 2.
Accessiories: I have a mophie case for my iPhone and love it. I have AppleTV. The black leather smart cover. The iPad camer connection, the new HDMI adapter for iPad and others.
Anyway, that is me the mac addict.
My younger brother just got a brand new 13inch MacBookAir and has a June of 2009 MacBookPro that he wants tom find a good home for at a fair price. Is there a place where Macs are traded and sold on this forum? I don't want to post if it is frowned upon oor not part of what is done here.
Thanks,

Because Panther doesn't have direct Turkish support, I installed a "support pack" that the Apple IMC Turkey has published. After that, when I try to start Entourage, some of the writings has gone mad and they are replaced with some meaningless writing crap.. I guess that support pack has done something to my entourage font settings but how can I undo it???
by the way, I installed the pack on my former 12"PB months before and there was no problems, and I need that pack for the additional Turkish characters..

No, they were out of all white 3g all carriers. They still had a few Verizon black ones though.
I'm pretty sure that they are selling out tonight, but good luck if you try for one tomorrow. They may still have black wifis.

just for the record, this link has been submitted around 10 times now, but I've been on the whole unimpressed by the desktops so far. Maybe by offering the link and getting some new blood in there, it will liven up.
Or you go visit my website @ http://homepage.mac.com/nuber

The macbook should be updating soon but I personally would rather develop on a macbook air rather than a macbook. Only problem depending on how much code you have to write is the small screen with the entry level macbook air.
The reason I would rather develop on a macbook air is simply because it runs mundane tasks at a much higher speed than the macbook. I would assume you are going to use xcode which does not take much cpu power but it does take a use a significant amount of Hard drive usage.
If you do get an air make sure to buy the 4GB of ram as it is not user upgradable.

i'd give it a 6/10 currently.
At first view I thought it was an Apple reseller, as the images are of their products with a mac rumours news feed, reading through however I see you only offer one apple orientated option (and that's iOS) - sorry if I missed some more.
The images for the iPhone and Macbook have a strange outline, where it appears you used a PNG with a transparent background (?) but that's still showing up.
On the home page i'd expect to be able to click on the 'Services' in the 'Services we offer' list - as you can if you go to the full link.
I would also expect to be able to click on the images - not sure where it would take you though as the training doesn't actually relate to them.
Also I don't get the name :(
Sorry if that sounds harsh - but that's my opinion

I'm using the TTL modification and so far no text. I'm not saying that PdaNet works, just saying you can't definitively say it doesn't work just because people got the text using it.
True, I'm not gonna bother tethering for not even one kilobyte till further notice.
Maybe down the road we will know for sure how and what to do in order to go around this n

So here's the pics and some info:
OS 8.0
32 MB RAM
1 GB HD
As I said before I would like someone to get some use of this system, if that's possible, and I DO NOT want to ship it. Hopefully someone can find it a good home.
*problem attaching pics, I'll try again later*

This is true. A lot of people are talking trash about the devices but I doubt anyone as ever used one. To me the UI was much more concise than the iPod, the hardware was very high quality (sound from the headphone port was far superior to what the iPod outputs) and the Zune Marketplace has a nice "recommended" music software. In the end, it was poor implementation and the Apple freight train that made the Zune fail.
I don't know why people are happy about this though. Do you really only want one music player in the market? No one wants a choice? How about competition? Competition is what drives companies to innovate. I really want some company to come out with a product that pushes Apple to an even higher level of innovation. So far no one has done it.
The thing is, the Zune was most like the iPod Classic and you can bet that the iPod classic is going to die too. Everything is moving to multi-function devices like the iPhone or other smart phones. The iPod touch lives well because of the vast Apple eco system and apps that are available for it. Apps make a huge difference for the viability of the iPod Touch. If it was just a media player... it's days would be numbered too.
MS was just too little too late. Question is, are they too late in the Phone OS market too? Nokia is their best chance to catch up or make a mark that's for sure.
I do wish Apple would take one cue from MS and the Zune.... make a brown iPhone! :p

November yahoooo soon be bonfire night :D,
ok I made this background in Photoshop after seeing a very similar one on 4walled (http://4walled.org/) but that one looked very tired, hence making one from scratch so there's *No Link* to it, I removed the dock using Mirage 2 (http://www.macthemes.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16802835) for snow leopard and the indicators are from the Eclipse dock (http://macthemes.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16796046) enlarged in photoshop and installed via Candybar 3 (http://www.panic.com/candybar/)

Reasons why I'm waiting. Note these haven't been confirmed, but I'm thinking
With Thunderbolt connectivity they might:
Add a FW 400 and 800 port
Add USB 3.0 Ports
Add ethernet
Get rid of the USB connecting cable since it could go over Thunderbolt.
In other words, make the ACD almost into a dock.
I'm in the market for 2 ACD's when the revision comes out.
I was kind of thinking the same thing, I think it'll just be USB 2.0 carried over Thunderbolt with the display and audio but it would be great if they pushed through what you had, I'm definitely waiting until at least the iMac refresh comes because maybe it'll come along with that or at least give some indication of the direction they're taking. I love the idea of not have to plug the USB in too, I want to just hook up power and Thunderbolt to use the ACD with my MBP. I think it'll end up coming sooner than later, gotta get some Thunderbolt products on the market.
