We went to India last year. No issues. No need of transit visa. The German consulate letter says the same.

Thanks for participating . Please provide your feedback on the meeting i.e What you liked and what you didn't like. This will help us for the future meetings.
Also please become more active and urge you friends and colleagues to become more active in NJ state chapter.
Any suggestion on promoting our cause will be greatly appreciated:
Some of the areas to think about are:
a) How often we should hold such conferences?
b) What other topics we should include. ( For example Financial planning for the community, given the uncertainity in the process)?
c) In what way we together can help increase our number?
d) etc...etc...
The meeting was very well organized. Q&A session with Attorney Prashanti Reddy was very useful. Here are my suggestions:
a) We can have these conferences every two months or whenever core thinks so.
b) I think we should stick to immigration.
c) Earlier 'Invite a friend/Add a member' campaigns were very successful as compared to flyer/poster campaign.

Yes, you can Travel as long as the H1 Visa Stamping in Un-Expired,
My scneario was i worked for employer A,
Had H1 visa stamping Upto Oct 2006.
Changed employer and H1B transfer with Extension.
Traveled to India returned, While returning Showed the New 797 to the Officer and Got the I-94 for the new date. No problem.
Please carry just in case your new employer employement verification letter and latest paystub. Most of the time it is not necessary but just in case.

My son was on B1 and then on H4. B1 was stamped in 2000 for 10 years. He was with me in US for 4 years and had 1 stamping of H4 in his passport after 2000. He moved to Canada in 2005 but still visits me on B1 which was issued to him before his H4 stamping and B1 was never cancelled. I am not sure about L1..

RFE and NOID come with a color sheet of paper with your details and some USCIS internal codes for your case. You can respond by yourself and put the sheet on top - this is for the mailroom to handle your case

If you see the instruction of form I-131, it clearly says AP is an exdraodinary measure and should be sparingly used, for emergency purpose (page 1). AP can not be used to by pass the visa or visa issuance process. It clearly says that if AP is based on pending I-485, then the travel should be for family emergency and bonafide business purpose (page 3).
As because, USCIS/CBP is flexible for AP admission it does not mean that the rules are flexible. If the CBP agents at POE wants to flex their muscles they can deny the admission of AP holder, if they found the travel was not an emergency or a bonafide bussiness travel.

Just because the PD is before 2005, doesn't mean the job needs masters degree. The job responsibilities will remain the same. The person doing the job would have acquired the necessary experience to carry out a job that falls in EB2.
Also, not everybody qualified for EB2 may be able to find a job that is in EB2. That's a different story .

Just got �Card Production Ordered� LUD for EAD for both myself and my wife. Wish it could have happened on the next working day, which is Monday - June 30th, we could have got 2 year EAD, unlucky!!!

We are in a similar situation . My wife had an EB3 approved I-140 with PD Apr 2004. She got her new EB2 I-140 approved with PD Dec 2006. I have opened a service request ... no update . Sent a letter to Ombudsman. No response yet. I am thinking of pursuing with the local senator.
The lawyer says that USCIS is treating these cases in the general I-140 queue and therefore may take about a yr to resolve.

Try Wells Fargo or Chase. They have been quite good about lending me money for a couple of rental properties.
Also ask them for rebates as they are eager to get business.
Another one I came across was Penfed.org. They may work for you since you seem to be borrowing for a primary residence.
