so does anyone here believe that this is all we are getting in leopard? i just dont see anymore top secret features coming out unless apple hasnt released them in the builds they seeded. i just want overall system speed to be improved and i'll be happy.

I have about 20 TB of photos. The biggest advice I can give you that others have stated is from the beginning organize your photos in a very logical manner and edit the meta-data to reflect what they are. This is very very important for when you get very large collections of photos.
Also unless you have a mac pro tower where you can put hard drives inside your best bet is an external for your pics.
With that many photos, do you 'phase out' HDD after a period or time? Meaning: lets say you have three 1 TB HDD filled with photos, do you replace drives before they fail? Then, how long have your HDD lasted without being used? Thanks for the information as it is "food for thought."

Just out of curiosity has anyone ever sat down with a meter and figured out what folding costs you in electricty. I shut down a server I ran 24/7 for years (and replaced it with a HP WHS) and realized a $20/month decrease in my electric bill. That server wasn't really doing all that much. It hosted some web sites that no one visted and ran an email server that serviced one user. I imagine had that thing been folding with all its unused cycles (which were many) it would have been much more than $20.

It was the perfect solution!! Thank you so much, first I connect the display, once my Apple LED Cinema becomes the main and only monitor, I open the lid of my MBP(with out clicking on Detect Display, and the MBP is "inactive") so the vents can cool down the laptop, I could play perfect for hours!

I was in the Persian Gulf about 3 months into a 6 month deployment. The destroyer I was on was over there to support the embargo on Iraq, boarding ships smuggling oil out of Iraq, etc.
It was later the evening of 9/11 for us local time, like others on the ship, the first I heard about it was through e-mail from relatives. Later the Captain came on saying that planes had hit the WTC and Pentagon and that a bomb had gone off in a building in Washington, DC. (a rumor in the press at the time) He said that the US was under attack, and that US forces were at DEFCON 3, the 'highest DEFCON he'd seen in 25 years in the Navy'. At the time there was only another US destroyer and an Aussie frigate in the Gulf, the USS Enterprise and the rest of the battle-group had just left for a visit to South Africa on the way home and were off the east coast of Africa. So we went into a defensive posture until the Air Force could send out some jets from Saudi Arabia to give us air-cover. Later the CO came on and said the Enterprise was running flank speed back to the Gulf, she ended up leaving the rest of her group behind and returned a couple days later.
The CO was all fired up that we were going to attack somebody, but it ended up being anti-climatic, since we continued doing the interdiction ops for a couple more weeks, until they decided to finger the Taliban, then we went out and fired a couple of Tomahawks at Afghanistan. Ultimately we ended up spending 80 consecutive days at sea due to security concerns, a personal record for many of us onboard. (my previous was 30 days)
We ended up getting most of our info through e-mails from home and what came over official message channels. Ships at the time did have internet access at sea, but it was limited and slow, though we got as much info that way as possible.

Just double checking once again, Once im ordering my Ibook/Powerbook I will only have to order the AirPort Express Base Station and theres no need for me to buy the AirPort Extreme Card since it comes built in?

the Zunes weren't actually that bad. The UI and snappiness of the device is actually attractive. It has a better touchscreen response than an Android device, to be honest.

Well, it looks like there will be alot of new features and devices soon from apple.
lets hope apple keeps up the good work, advancements in technology, software and hardware will continue making users lifes easier.
things like smart device/cell phones, itv media center hubs (also HDTV including Blu-Ray), continuing development of more software and making apple an all media type system where all aspects can work seamlessly.
looking forward to the new stuff apple comes with.
I know this is off track, but if companies like Apple with the delivery of video content via the web and the cable and dish networks offering a wider array of on demand offereings, the day of hard media (DVD, Blue Ray, DVD-HD) are coming to an end. I for one have hundreds of DVDs, but haven't bought one in months, because either I see the movie in the Theater (the ulitimate experience) or I catch it in HD from cable. My DVDs are just taking up space in my house.
Sony and others can do what they want to try to force upon us another technology, but just like DVD-Audio, they're all doomed to fail.
I now return you to normally scheduled discussion.

Umm...this is all taken directly from their twitter. Comex himself responded to someone asking if they should wait for ion1cs untethered for a 4.3 and up jb or if he was doing one and he said to wait. There literally no indication right now that he's working on a 4.3 jb for the iPad 2. Joshua (of green poison fame) is, as far as I know, the only one that has directly stated that he is in the process of working on an iPad 2 jb. This doesn't mean that comex is not working on another exploit for the iPad 2, but telling people that he definitely is is wrong. Im pretty sure the directory you are talking about is where the exploit was at before 4.3.1.
I never said he was working on an second exploit. His 4.3 Tethered is all I mentioned. They are working on it, and MuscleNerd even said today they are working on making it legal to distribute. 4.3.1 for iPad 2 as this time is probally in the back burner. All that is really needed is for the iPad 2 4.3 to publicly Jailbroken. If someone updated to 4.3.1 thats their fault. If someone updated to 4.3.1 they are obviously new to the game.

Yes with Game Center this has the chance at competing with 360 and PS3/steam etc and now that Unreal engine is ported to the iOS Gaming on the i Devices have no where to go but up.

Drop the top banner below the tab section. Make sure you have no padding so the ad isn't over barring like it currently is. Also, put the search form in the tab area. This will make your page look a whole bunch better. Take a look at News.com (http://www.news.com) to get the idea.
