I am trying to do this similar thing - but I am confused
Do I need a pc software based VPN? Can't I just use my router VPN? I have tried VPN with just iPad and router but not working. I wonder if it is because my ip address to my router from cablevision is not static? Although my router ip hasn't changed since I started trying to do this, it keep failing.
Argh I am so pissed that I can't figure this out even with google

I think this is what the CDMA iPhone is for and less likely VZW...
I said this same thing several threads back about the subject. I'm inclined to believe the same. If Verizon got a CMDA iPhone, it would be incidental to a China CDMA phone. Depending on the success in the market and the device tolerance, then a consideration would be given to the US market. Probably more than a year away at least and by that time Verizon is going to have much larger LTE adoption. We will see but I certainly think that if any CDMA phone is being made, it's for China.

Isn't the graph misleading? Is it 400 thousand units or 400 million units?
Edit: They've changed the legend of the graph. It's correct now. Nevermind.

you really don't need to know anything of folding with mc68k script, or of the Terminal. I was the same as you, didn't knew anything about both subjects. And I got it to work! The only thing you have to do is double click the installer and then type in Terminal your username and teamnumber and answer some other question that you have to answer with every folding app. You can see if it works if you open the activity monitor. You can see that the app folding/FAHcore is using a fair amount of cpu power.

Awesome. This seems to make sense. Apple should be with T-mobile, that is where their target is. I am on sprint but I think the primary users of this phone will be on t-mobile. Cingular is to low end and verizon is off in their own world. I don't mean to offend anyone but I think most would agree that t-mobile already has the best entertainment/computer like phones (ie - sidekick).

Thanks. So I guess it is my imagination, the extra screen real estate. Maybe I'm just longing for higher resolution :[

I don't think so--the guide is copyright by Macrumors, but according to this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyrights#Users.27_rights_and_obligations), you must make the text available under the same terms as the GFDL.
IMO, we should simply make our page refer/link to theirs except for stuff that is uniquely suited for our pages. There's no point in copying text. In addition to possible copyright issues, it means we may get out of sync with them as the topic evolves (e.g. as new PowerPC chips come out.)
IMO, our page should focus on Apple's use of the chip in Macs and simply link to the Wikipedia itself for information about the chip itself.

Congratulations to you and your friend!
I really want to upgrade to a 1GHz 12" PB myself but I'm happy with my computer anyway (12" 867MHz G4).

This will be correct unless the nokia JV with microsoft saves the day for windows mobile
Rumor has it that MS will go dormant (if it hasn't already) and introduce windows 8 with Nokia.
With apple having Lion OS being very similar to iOS (a single iOS on phone and PC), Microsoft might go the same way for their mobile device (making it the same or even closer with windows 8 & windows mobile 8 (or worse windows mobile 7.5 and windows 8) but one OS aka Apple
There have been several leaks of Windows 8 recently, and yes, it looks like it is incorporating aspects of the 'Metro' design into the Windows UI.
With even talk of a Windows Metro UI to replace the toned down 'Windows Basic' UI that runs on low specced machines.

T-Mobile is the low-end carrier. Who on this green Earth uses them? They serve no purpose.
Cingular if you want GSM/SIM cards
Verizon if you want the widest American network
Sprint if you want cheapest/fastest unlimited data
T-Mobile if you.. um.. if you're 11 years old and think Sidekicks are cool?
The only way this will go well is if Apple does an MVNO. They need control of "the whole widget."

Firstly, I am new to the forums and my first post and subsequent updates manageed to P!$$ off a lot of people so I hope I get this one right!
I am a convert from Windows to PC and as such still learning!
I have a mobile broadband dongle from T-Mobile (UK) which I have had for a number of years now and it has worked, consistently, extremely well on my windows based laptop. This was not the case when I plugged it in to my 13" MacBook Pro that I have just purchased as part of my conversion.
I concluded I must be doing something wrong.
The modem is a Huawei E220 and I have done all the firmware upgrades etc that all the other forums seem to suggest.
The last suggestion from T-Mobile was that I utilise a more up to date broadband dongle to install the latest connection manager software on to my MBP. I have done this.
I now have no error messages when I plug the dongle in to the MBP and I know the driver is OK etc because I do manage to connect and surf the web etc.
My issue is that after a short period of time (this can vary between 1min and 5mins) the Dongle appears to hang or freeze.
The light on the dongle remains blue but no data is transferring.
I have installed little snitch also which shows me the red outgoing data but no green incomming on the little display in the menu bar.
I have made assumptions that the driver, connection manager, firmware, little snitch or firewall etc are all ok because I am gettign a connection at some point for a short period of time.
I was wondering if anyone has had similar issues or can indeed assist me in the resolution?
I am wondering if it is a setting on the MBP because of the device failing after a period of time?
The OS id Snow Leopard and I believe I am up to date with my software releases.
Any help gratefully received !

There is still some hope, but it is looking pretty grim.
1. GIMP does not support the 5700i because it does not use Postscript. They also stated they would not write a driver cause it would take too much time.
2. Last Saturday the French site for Epson posted a LaserWriter driver for the 5800 which is a postscript printer. The good thing is that this driver has the Epson utilities in it, so theoritically all that is left to do is the actual driver for the 5700i.
3. I read on another board, that Epson Support had told one person that they would be coming out with a driver in September, needless to say it is now September.
The Omni printer system for Linux does support this printer and maybe even the full blown CUPS also probably comes with a driver, so if Epson can just take some time and port the driver over, it should be a lot closer than if they were to start with nothing.
