Well, I used disk utilities and it won't find hard drive. No where in the system it shows the hard drive. I'm going to use an install disc and see if it finds it.
If I reformat drive with MacDrive, will it be easier???

Hi,
Please can someone clarify or help me to understand my situation :
On the 30 March, I placed a online order with Apple UK for Apple Care Plan and iMac (both to be shipped within 24h). Today, 31 March, I received a package from TNT UK, and that is only the Apple Care Plan.
Where is the iMac ?
I phoned TNT UK and they told me that they never picked up a iMac. I phoned Apple, and when explaining my situation, the guy suddenly said "And you did not receive your iMac ?" (sounded not surprised).
Apple is contacting TNT and TNT is contacting Apple, since, no answer from both sides.
Could it be that the iMac (stock model) is not shipping from UK so TNT UK cannot trace it ?

Also make sure you have Quicktime 6.3 - that will allow the AAC encoding.
Make sure you have all updates installed from Software Update, just a good tip.

Interesting indeed, I would love for the two companies to be in bed together... Interesting things for consumers might result. I see T-Mobile as a fresh alternative to Cingular... Plus, T-Mobile could use better designed phones, who better to hook them up with some Innovative ideas?;)

I print to an Epson SC 777 with no driver installed all the time. I just clicked that icon with the printer and the ?, and clicked Add. Works fine.

Did u have version 1.0 in itunes? THe way it works is when itunes on mac or computer updates apps from app store, it moves old copy of the app to trash folder on mac or recycle bin on PC. So you can fish it out from there. If you never had it in itunes before then you are out of luck.
ahh yea, i never got to sync the app yet to itunes :( i updated to 1.0.1 on the ipad before i got the chance to sync, I just found this thread last night when i was trying to figure out how to do the VPN for the app. No wonder the VPN wasnt working, i was already on 1.0.1

There's a mastercard "priceless" joke in there somewhere.
Does it have something to do with Barack Obama's long-form birth certificate?

Giving my '08 Mac Pro a new lease of life with a SSD. 3'5 (so I won't have to worry about sleds etc.) I'm going for a clean install, but is there any special considerations regarding formatting I should be aware of?
This is the drive;
OCZ Vertex 2E Bigfoot 120GB 3.5" SATA-II
Should I install in windows first to update firmware?
EDII read this post which has got me thinking it going to be difficult

title pretty much says it all. is it "worth it" to pay for the price of developer status just to download and play around with the lion preview? or, should i just wait for the official release?

most countries that print out pieces of paper for us to use as currency is this property of that government.

I see what you did there.
Taken to eleven: since most assets are collateralized, I guess there not technically the owners' either.

I'm running 4.0.1 on my Mini, and find little compelling benefit to it above 3.6.x.

Thanks Doctor Q and Sea Fox. I was puzzled at first since I don't see those things, and I finally figured out why you see it and I don't--you must both be using the default style sheet [I checked and sawwhat you mentioned].
In the Mac OS X style sheet, at the bottom of the page, it has this:
< Contact Us - chaosmint >
as well as icons for emailing, printing, or subscribing to the thread (if you're in a thread), the forum rules, etc. But no link to the main site either on the top or on the bottom (clicking on the MacRumors.com logo brings you to forums.macrumors.com).
I did discover a link to the main site on the very first page of the forum (forums.macrumors.com) in the upper right-hand corner where it lists the Newest Member, etc., but it doesn't appear when you're in a thread.

I posed this on another forum and got nothing back...I'm hoping someone here knows how to remedy this problem. Thanks! :D
This is a question I've been meaning to ask for a while. My internal modem, when I first got my iBook, made the typical dial and handshake sounds when I would dial a connection. I can't remember when it stopped, but it no longer makes a sound when it is dialing.
I'm running an iBook G4 12" 1.2 GHz with 768 MB RAM.
Does this have anything to do with a modem script (I read something about this and it mentioned a modem script, but I don't think it solved the issue for the other user). I checked the settings for the modem in the Network preference pane. The radio button for Sound is set to On.
It might have happened to me after the Tiger upgrade as well. I'm not sure. Could it be a Tiger issue?
Any help anyone can provide is appreciated.
Thanks!

Can it play .ogg files? Probably not. Still don't want it, then. And I hate that you have to use iTunes to sync an iPod. I prefer filesystem based solutions like on the iAudio.

Every iPhone thread leaves me amazed at how complacent Americans are in accepting terrible mobile telephony. When's the last time (in Europe) that you had a "dropped call"? I had to look up the term because it meant nothing to me. If the iPhone is going to work properly, then someone needs to give assurances that your calls will actually go through. Forget about downloading songs on the go for a moment, and consider the intended purpose of a phone. If I want to make a call, it means that I need to get through and actually end up talking to someone; not that I want to try to call someone. Don't get me wrong, I'd love an iPhone. I'm just glad I live in a country where your calls go through, and stay going until you terminate it. And what's with this paying for incoming minutes thing? The payment should be the responsibility of the person doing the calling. At least, that's how it seems to work over here.

I don't think there is a setting to have the PB continue to function with the lid closed unless you have an external display connected.
I sure there is a way to do it by disabling the sleep function all together by using the terminal, but I would not attempt that on my machine.

2)The nonsense you speak of is why Amazon is killing the iPad as an e-reader. Don't believe me? Go read the tens of thousands of comments about how hard it is to read a book (not a website....not an email...a book) on an iPad.
I know, right? And my telephone makes calls much easier than my iPad.
As for reading on the iPad, I love it. I didn't read a book on my iPad for the first 6 months I owned it. Now I don't ever want to pick up a real book again.

I agree, but is it (appropriate/right/legal) to just copy-paste the relevant material into the guide?
I don't think so--the guide is copyright by Macrumors, but according to this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyrights#Users.27_rights_and_obligations), you must make the text available under the same terms as the GFDL.

Yet scientists think all quakes are unrelated. I bet the Pacific plate has been highly active these late years.
Actually, they just don't know how they are related or how to predict them with any level of accuracy.
