Obviously this isn't wanted here. Perhaps a mod can end it for us?

The shopping cart system I used for my wife's and my shop (A Trade For A Trade (http://www.atradeforatrade.com)) is OpenCart (http://www.opencart.com). I think it has the best code structure and admin panel design, so I also use when designing e-commerce shops for clients. In terms of your concerns:
1. OpenCart does have a template system, although it's not Smarty-based. It's pretty easy to learn though, as it's just HTML and PHP. Templates are uploaded via FTP and then you can switch between them via the admin.
2. OpenCart has many self-contained extensions, and some that require code edits. However, the recently-released vQmod (http://www.vqmod.com) system now allows for extensions that modify the code without actually modifying it. Extensions aren't installed through the admin like WordPress, but most well-written extensions are just upload-and-go.
I don't know if you'll find it the best fit, but that's my recommendation.

I don't think we're ever going to have a shortage of wealthy and powerful people; even authoritarian government have their share of plutocrats. I also question the notion that the acquisition of wealth is always assumed to have been legitimately "worked for" or "earned". ENRON, Madoff, the banks during the credit crunch....
As evidence that some rich people didn't earn their wealth, you just referenced Enron that went bankrupt, Madoff who went to prison, and the Banks who we bailed out... and would have otherwise gone bankrupt. So, essentially three examples where the free market either did or would have (without government intervention) correctly punished bad businesses. Odd choice.
At any rate, you're putting words in my mouth. We all collectively decide how to govern ourselves, and it's not always the case that a simple majority is enough to implement changes to the status quo. Also, it has been demonstrated time and time again that a small number of wealthy and powerful people can get their way in the face of overwhelming opposition from less wealthy and powerful people. It cuts both ways. You seem to be trying to characterize any increase in taxes on the rich as a form of theft perpetrated by the rest of the nation; that's a very twisted take on the concept of taxation.
Hardly. All I'm trying to do is better understand your position. You seem to take the position that the majority or mob rule can decide how much money to take from one person without inflicting the same on another person... in effect choosing winners and losers. Furthermore, you seem to not put any limit on this position so it would seem that you feel the majority has the right/ability to take as much money from 'the rich' as they choose to as long as they do it with a majority in the democratic process. This would imply that you don't think that the person who actually earned the wealth has any sort of moral or legal claim on the wealth. Please enlighten me as to where I am going astray in describing your position.

Actually, the big display prices *must* come down soon, because regular 32" tv can be bought for 500 euros nowadays. A display which has HDMI input, which means it can be connected to a DVI computer card rather easily.
Now I don't mean to say that a regular 32" TV that costs 500 would compete with a 30" ACD in terms of colour accuracy or top resolution, but I'm saying if someone wants a big display it can be done for peanuts. And as people discover this they're not going to buy "overpriced" computer displays that are meant for one purpose only.

I guess they wanted to inconvenience them millions of subscribers just to delay the small minority of AT&T customers willing to jump ship
Its more likely an unscheduled outage, or problem with their system

google for Gallery or Coppermine (sorry, no time to get the links right now). Those are pretty popular packages and will fit your criteria fairly well. Haven't used either myself, but have looked at them in the past and they seemed pretty full-featured.

I heard they found him using findmyiphone:D
I heard that too. I also heard the illicit location data Apple was storing was actually designed at pinpointing this guy.
I'm not going to say where I heard it, but there were at least 3 "official" sources.

huh? maybe for the $45 unlimited service SIM card within its belly? duh
And risk the SIM being blacklisted? It has happened to many already. They aren't stupid, especially the idiots using gigs and gigs of data. Plus you're out the phone as it is locked to that SIM; kiss your $200 down the drain. It's a kludge that could be shut down at any time.
On this IMEI unlock - it is legitimate, it can be done, and AFAIK you can actually use a jailbreak tool called SAM to prevent Apple from revoking the unlock down the road. Not 100% sure on that but these services (most of them) are legit and phones are being unlocked. Not cheap, but considering there is generally a $200 premium (or more) for a factory unlocked iPhone 4 versus, say, an AT&T model...you can do the math.

I never had OS9, but I think I heard some of this sound in other places.
In example, the "Quack" one sound me so familiar..., maybe there is a similar sound in Win 95 / 98?

I haven't seen any mini apple stores at the Best Buy in West Ashley or North Charleston. Have they added it since I last went in one?
Actually we do have a Saks 5th Avenue on King St.
I don't know if BB's in Charleston have been remodeled (moved from there 3.5 yrs ago :( ). They just finished the remodeling here in Savannah, and I have to say it is pretty nice. Just like a mini-Apple store (and I mean mini). Very clean and Apple-like. It oughtta be rocking this holiday season *buys more AAPL*.

I don't think apple cut Kanye's performance from the webcast just because of a few F-bombs. They cut it because it sucked. Not only in content, but in quality. I can't say I'm a huge hip-hop fan, but I do know a decent performance when I see it. That was more like bad karaoke. Even though I'm sure I wouldn't have liked his performance if it were his whole posse playing on a studio album, the setup they had didn't do him justice.

I don't think that there will be another MacWorld Boston. The attendance was very low at the last one that we had in Boston. Of course it would make me happy. Just don't think that the MacWorld Organizers will ever try again.

Awesome, I just switched from Sprint to T-Mobile. Granted, i had to pay $200 for the Blackberry Pearl, but mid-2007 is still quite a ways away. I guess it all depends on how cool this "iPhone" really is.

There's a timing issue here.
While LTE is out, it's not widely deployed yet. Cores of cities are being covered, but many markets don't have coverage yet (true for me personally - my "market" has coverage, but only where I work and not on the commute home, or at home).
Mobile chipsets for LTE are also power-hungry today.
When do you push to have LTE in your handset? Sure, Verizon may be pushing it, but until a device can meet Jobs's's's high bar for performance, I don't see a shift just yet.
Perhaps a delay to September makes things clearer to Apple. Perhaps there's a new chipset coming from QC which doesn't suck space and power (and generate a lot of heat in the process).
September also allows for a bunch more expansion of LTE, specifically VzW here in the states.

I use this site for my conversions.
$400 = 225
$500 = 282
So yeah, you're right.
I used the conversion widget that is included with Mac OS 10.4 and get the same thing (see, dashboard has its uses)-

The whole resolution independance thing terrifies me. I just know we'll see some vendor or Apple have these annoying huge UI's that we can't shrink back down to their proper size. I mean the reason we buy this huge monitors is to shrink the UI and maximize free space right???
You're confusing size in inches with size in pixels. The problem you're worried about won't happen.
