There's no reason to run Garageband on a secondary drive, unless of course you're taking a performance hit due to a drive filling up.
But back everything up, multiple copies of .aiff's, .aac's and especially .band's.

help!
I just got done upgrading my G4 B&W to Tiger (fresh install) and I decided to get this comptuer back folding again. I ran the little single processor install script that is linked in the folding FAQ to get it installed and running.
Now for some reason, every time I open Terminal, it calls the Install script. I deleted the install script, but it still tries to open it every time I open a new terminal window, and I get the following.
Last login: Thu Jun 23 09:57:48 on ttyp1
Welcome to Darwin!
Yosemite:~ USERr$ /Volumes/single/.setup/script.command; exit
-bash: /Volumes/single/.setup/script.command: No such file or directory
logout
[Process completed]
Here is what I attempted to do to resolve my issue, which none have fixed
1. Install and run the script again.
2. Change the default shell from the terminal prefrences.
Does anyone know what file I need to edit to get a normal shell, and to have the system stop trying to call the install script?
Thanks for any help!
I thought my Linux experience would help here, but I am lost!
One of the files that get executed every time you open the terminal is ~/.profile (where '~' is your home directory). You can't see this file normally because it begins with '.', so to see it you have to use "ls -a" instead of just "ls". Open it, and if it has a line that executes the program you don't want, just erase it.

I read here that many rave about the Otterbox Commuter. A hybrid case that has silicone.
When I look at the silicone, it is a bit softer than many others that I have seen.
What is the life of the silicone? Does it get stretched out? Does it tear? How about the polycarbonate...does it scratch or discolor (thinking of getting the white shell).
Thanks for your thoughts.
Otterbox has a guarantee. If you need a new silicon they'll send you a knew one no questions asked.

Thanks, I thought it was something behind the scene going on. And just to clarify this point, can we still use it as a MDP? Or will Apple have to put out a separate port for those who want the MDP.

Stopped by the Deer Park place today. Took me awhile to find it. Drove right past it. How I missed the big apple, I do not know ;)
Nice store, it was crowded but they had plenty copies of Leopard available and the lines moved fast.
Could not find a case for my iPod Touch tho. :(

I don't think it hurts that much. Or maybe I've just grown used to it. People compare the sensation to snapping a rubberband against your skin. That seems about right.
Last year I had my doctor start blasting another nearby tattoo -- one much smaller that I never had covered up. That one has been lasered four times, and it is almost gone. You know what they say..."results may vary".

Does it have a self-assigned IP when it drops out?
If so, try renaming your wireless network. This has fixed this issue a number of times for me recently.
No, it picks up its IP number from the Linksys just fine. And it keeps the wireless connection fine. For example, I can access the Mini from my MacBook Pro with screensharing just fine ... even after the Mini looses its internet connection.
Like I said, a strange problem ...

I am curious. Has anyone else had success setting this up? How is it working out for you?
I was able to get it working. Thanks for your instructions. Now I need to wait for TW to improve their service so I can actually get more than 5 secs of video stream. I would be very interested to know if anyone who has TW cable has been able to get this to work reliably.

I can't say that I'm at all surprised. First the idea of the subscription based model doesn't really fly when you can have the music with iTunes.
The zune was too little too late, they entered the market just as the iPod was peaking. Now that most of the functionality if in the phones, there is no demand.

This is the vulnerability those security pundits have been warning was coming.
What would I rather do: Hack into Apple's servers to implement a legally very dubious unlocking service for $170 (which is obviously highly overpriced, because Apple could do the same thing for free if they wanted to) that might open me up to litigation from Apple, or create a website that collects $170 a shot from gullible iPhone owners, do nothing, and run with the money?

That's not true. Apple won't cover the RAM that you put in it, but since it is a user-replaceable part, they can't void your warranty for replacing it. Apple store employees are clueless about warranties.

I've just had my website redesigned by a friend.
I'd like to be able to send a 'flyer' over the email to clients, a banner to appear in the body text space in a message...
Something like this, but with my design.
How do I go about this....?

Apple makes nice money off every iOS devices they sell. With App store, iTunes store and iBook store, their Software and hardware sales will grow.
Their MBA sales are growing and those devices aren't cheap.
Apple is going to soon have more than 100 billion dollars in their backyard.
Btw, Apple is going to blow away on next Quarter as long as they can launch iPhone 5 on both AT&T and Verizon. Doubt that they will put LTE chip inside, but it will be available on two of the biggest networks in the US. This will not stop.
People will pay good money for good sh**! I do. My jcrew giant fit chinos cost $65.00 a pair now. Up from $59.50. But they are well made with an awesome fit. Same for my New Balance 1223s.
And I like that Apple is slow growing. I see that as self preservation. The pc industry is glutted with crap beyond trash. $99.99 pc in Target.LOL! There is no more value in the pc. That game is essentially over.
Now, just let your imagination soar with the idea of an Apple branded smart HD TV with an app store, ipad 3, iphone 5 and a messaging app for the ipad that rivals MS messenger. OMFG!!!!!

I have a 16GB iPod touch (1.1.3 with apps, Incase black protective cover, Power Support anti-glare protector) and would like to trade for an unopened 8GB iPhone. I have the original box and all the stuff it came with. There are NO MAJOR scratches on the back, just normal ones from my iPod sock. The screen has no issues nor scratches. It's been used since Christmas day, but looks new.

First of all, you should probably get a BSE, or StealthGuard instead of a IS. Same thing, except you have to make your own solution. And no sgueegee. But it's worth it. I would recommend something from Switcheasy for your case, however, they have only came out with one thing.

I was at work in the City of London. Actually I remember I had just popped out to buy a birthday card for a friend so I was in a card shop at Leadenhall Market when I first heard the news on the radio. When I got back to the office a few mins later there were people gathered in reception watching the news reports on tv and everyone was so horrified. Later that afternoon we were all sent home as there were fears of potential attacks on London - particularly around the financial centres in the City & Canary Wharf.
