I'd go to http://www.speedtest.net/ and see how fast your computer's network connection is over wireless. If it is around the 15Mbs, then you really don't need 802.11n. I've found that 802.11g is generally good enough for me on 20Mbs. I did, however, add Ethernet for in-house communications, so it became less of a worry.

How does the MP3/M4A sound played in iTunes compared to played in Quicktime and opened in Audacity?
Well this is interesting. I opened all three (QuickTime, Audacity, and GarageBand) to compare the quality of one song. Now, all of a sudden, GarageBand plays the song normally without altering any sounds. You'll have to take my word on the fact that at one point it did convert the song and remove bass, which is strange, but it now works as it should! :D
Thank you for all your help, everyone!

I hope all of the big oil companies have a record year for profits too. It's worth it to me to pay $4 gal for gas to help it come true.

My neighbors cousin died in the attack. Her boss (president of the company) took the day off (pretending to be sick). Everyone else in the company was at work, which was around 30 people. All of the people that worked there died except for the president. As you can imagine, the man is now an emotional wreck.
Another one one of my neighbors worked in the 2nd trade tower. He was on the 6x floor and started to leave when he saw the first plane crash. When he was leaving the 2nd tower got hit. He ran out to the bottom and escaped with a few other people in a UPS truck.
My brother-in-law was talking to a guy that worked on the 7x floor of the 1st tower that got hit on the phone. They were talking and then all of a sudden there was a big crash and the line went dead. The guy did not make it.
I could go on with a bunch of stories, I was practically there, but I'll stop. To sum it up it was horrific. Seeing the people running out of the building, some of them hurt, knowing there were many hundreds of people still inside, and a bunch of people on the two planes that hit.

I wish I could photoshop my way to 200k followers on Twitter.
Yeah, i bet you dont believe all the other great stuff he released was his work either?

What router do you have? Your router should have a configuration page where you can look and see what IPs it's giving out. Or just go into system preferences/network on your mac and look at your IP and the router IP address.
It's an apple extreme router. The router IP is the same as yours. 10.0.1.1. The private IP is 10.0.1.201 on the port mapping setup assistant.
Edit: I found the range and it was set at 1-200. So i set the starting range too 100 and used your setting for easyvpn for 180-185. Still no luck :(

Has anybody considered either waiting until like, Monday, or maybe ordering online?
Spending hours in line to buy something (that isn't even on sale or discounted) just doesn't make all that much sense to me. I guess I value my time too much.

The derailing posts typically reduces once the iPad competitor of the month runs out of advertising / shilling budget for their specific product.

Since most public libraries in the UK are being closed, this seems like the logical step forward.

As for the fan issue--when I watch a YouTube videos the fans go crazy, it's really the only time I use the Air that I ever hear the fans.
I know I'm not the only one who has this problem, as I've read on this forum about the issue but have not seen any fix for it yet.
Sorry, there wont be any software fix for your fan issue.

Wow you took all that time to reply to a dead topic that everybody else ignored for over a day?
FYI, it's not just a different manufacturer, the newer drive burns CDs faster and does DVD-RAM also.

I might line up at Laval.
Anyone have info on if we can buy just the phone, without a plan, and then jailbreak it so it can use my current rogers plan? iPhone plans are gonna be nuts. I want to be able to just go in and buy it, without signing up for rogers.
Also, is there a limit on how many we can buy? My dad wants one, so I would be buying two...
and can they be payed for with a bank card?

"- Many users have noted the iTunes 7 standalone installer includes a greyed-out custom option for "iTunes Phone Driver". It is not clear whether this driver is for the rumored iPhone or for already iTunes compatible phones from Motorola."
No, actually I there's no confusion here. There's been an iTunes Phone Driver in the iPod updaters ever since the Motorola iTunes phone was introduced. Since iTunes now handles iPod updates, this is perfectly logical and a non-news item.

This 'll probably vary by the local culture by country, but I live in a country where sim locking has been illegal until recently,(so we're not used to cheap smartphones with expensize contracts) while in the US traditionally most phones were/are simlocking offered "subsidized" by a carrier.
If you' re used to a cheap subsidized phone(with expensize carrier contract), you're less likely to pay 700 for an iPhone 32GB(though since I choose my own carrier it's cheaper in the long run.
I do think Apple should ofer sim-lock free iPhones worldwide, but if you can get cheap subsidized Blackberries,Androids,Nokias,... it's not the smartest move commercially.
